NEW BREED DEVELOPMENT

RARE BREED SURVIVAL

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ARF ACCEPTANCE

 

This is a list of ARF requirements to establish a new or rare breed.

 

 

BREED OF ANIMAL:___________________________

 

1.     You will need to become an ARF Certified Breeder.

($100.00, with $20.00 yearly dues)

 

2.     You will need to complete an ARF Criteria for New Breed Development & Breed Standard.

 

3.  You will need to open a file that will be exclusive to your breed’s

          name (That is a required one-time $100.00 fee.).

 

4.     You will need to register your kennel name. 

      ($45.00, renewed every three years.)

 

5.     As you perfect your bloodline, each adult dog that you place into

your breed’s file must have the following:

 

a.)  An ARF Certificate of Registration

b.)  An ARF Extended Pedigree [if possible]

c.)  A photograph (standing, side-view, facing the camera)

 

To do this, you will need to complete the ARF Application for Double Registration, and/or ARF Application for Litter Pedigrees. 

 

6.     You will need to sign an

 ARF’S CANINE CODE OF ETHICS FOR OUR BREEDERS”.

7.     In the future, we ask that you screen all prospective buyers by

asking them to complete an “OWNERSHIP QUESTIONNAIRE”,

and, upon acceptance, provide them a copy of “ARF’S CANINE CODE OF ETHICS FOR OWNERS”.

 

CONDITIONS & TERMS OF BREED ACCEPTANCE

 

1.     Every NEW BREED DEVELOPMENT, or RARE BREED SURVIVAL NAME, registered with the ARF, becomes the intellectual property of the ARF, in perpetuity.

 

2.     The person’s signature, affixed to this ARF-ACCEPTANCE agreement, or to any one of ARF’s Applications, having listed the NEW BREED NAME, or RARE BREED SURVIVAL NAME, thereupon, that person’s name shall become part of the intellectual property of the ARF [as it is in relationship with the ARF-accepted NEW BREED NAME, or RARE BREED SURVIVAL NAME, consenting to allow ARF the unlimited use of the signatory’s name, in regards to the BREED’S historical record, and/or the advancement of said BREED.]

 

3.     Any person seeking ARF participation, in ARF’s NEW BREED DEVELOPMENT or ARF’s RARE BREED SURVIVAL  program, is accepted into the ARF, either by signing this ARF BREED ACCEPTANCE agreement, or by consent.  [A person’s CONSENT, is not limited to this ARF BREED ACCEPTANCE agreement only, or to the use of ARF Application forms only, but can be done by telephone, fax, e-mail, etc.   ARF BREED ACCEPTANCE is approved when  the person submits the proper ARF registration fee(s); afterwards, the breed originator, and/or the developer, or savior has 10 days to rescind his/her approved ARF BREED ACCEPTANCE agreement, with a full refund being returned back to the originator, and/or developer, or savior.  However, after the 10-day approval period has passed, the agreement for BREED recognition will have been consummated.]

 

4.     Every NEW or RARE BREED, registered with the ARF, whether by the animal’s originator and/or developer, or by savior, has an ARF-agreed reservation, that their breed can be registered elsewhere, provided the animal was registered with the ARF first, as the “PARENT REGISTRY”.

 

5.     The originator, and/or developer, savior, or their successors, assigns, and/or agents, agree that their ARF-REGISTERED NEW BREED NAME, or ARF RARE BREED SURVIVAL NAME, as indicated on this ARF ACCEPTANCE agreement, ARF Applications, or however created, shall become the intellectual property of the ARF.       

 

6.     All historical data, submitted by me, the originator, and/or developer, savior, of the NEW BREED, or RARE BREED,  shall become the property of the ARF; the ARF shall have all and complete rights to said historical data.

 

7.     In the event of death of the BREED originator, and/or developer, savior, or any violations of the terms herein, ARF retains the right to continue the original breed registration program among those who have purchased breedable animals from the originator, and/or developer, or savior.

 

8.     In the event this agreement is challenged by the BREED originator, and/or developer, or savior, his/her successor, his/her assignee, or his/her agent, in any local, state, or federal court, the BREED originator, and/or developer, or savior, his/her successor, his/her assignee, or his/her agent agree to pay each ARF representative in court attendance, $500.00 per day, plus attorney fees, court costs, and whatever additional court fees ARF attorneys may deem necessary in the defense of the ARF.

My “Signature”, or that of my successor, assignee, or agent, affixed on any ARF Application, also constitutes my acceptance of the terms and conditions, as shown on this “ARF NEW BREED DEVELOPMENT, ARF RARE BREED SURVIVAL, TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ARF ACCEPTANCE”.  Also, I agree to any future ARF revisions that may be deemed necessary, for ARF to promote my selected breed.
