Question: "I have sold my animal, and I want to TRANSFER THE OWNERSHIP into someone else’s name; what do I need to do?"
Answer: On the reverse side of the “ARF Certificate of Registration”, where
it says “TRANSFER”, “THIS CERTIFIES, that I have this day sold to”:
“(New Owner)” – and his “(Address)”, “the animal whose ARF Reg.
Number appears on the reverse side of this certificate.”
On the line that indicates “(Previous Owner)”, the “Previous
Owner” must place his signature, as it is typed on the front side of the
“ARF Certificate of Registration”.
The “(New Owner)” is then required to return the “ARF Certificate
of Registration”, back to the Foundation, with his $25.00 “Transfer of
Ownership” fee
In regards to a “NAME CHANGE OF ANIMAL”:
No “NAME CHANGE” will be permitted if …
Note:
An animal’s name shall not exceed 30 letter spaces
In the event, the “(Previous Owner)” ordered an “ARF 5-Generation
Extended Pedigree”, and provided it to the “(New Owner)”, with the
original “ARF Certificate of Registration”, he is not required to return it
to the Foundation, as part of the “TRANSFER” transaction.
However, if the “(New Owner)” would like a new “ARF 5-Generation
Extended Pedigree”, in his name, he must include an additional $35.00 fee.
Note:
If the “(New Owner)” decides to order an “ARF 5-Generation Extended
Pedigree”, for his animal, at a later date, the cost of the “ARF
5-Generation Extended Pedigree” is a $50.00 fee.
Note: The content of all “ARF copyrighted documents”, are licensed to the animal’s “Owner”, for his benefit; the content cannot be reproduced without ARF’s written consent. Therefore, we recommend that each owner receive a new “ARF 5-Generation Extended Pedigree”, in his name, for the privilege of promoting his animal’s ancestral history to prospective buyers and breeders.
