ARF RULES OF CONDUCT

FOR

ARF-SANCTIONED DOG-SHOW JUDGES

An ARF-Sanctioned Dog-Show Judge will always conduct himself/herself in the following manner:

The ARF Judge always will conduct himself/herself in a sober and vigilant manner, representing the Christian values of the ARF, and its many ARF members. [What is the Christian manner? It is being patient, kind, trustworthy, fair, and having humility and self-restraint.]

The ARF Judge will uphold his/her responsibilities, by being on time, and judging according to the very best of his/her ability.

The ARF Judge will have in his/her possession a "Score Sheet", that lists his/her name, the participant’s, and/or handler’s, name, the dog’s full registered name, registration number, and date of birth. Further, the "Score Sheet" will indicate the event the dog has been entered into, as 1.) a "Conformation Class", or 2.) a "Working Class".

[Note: In regards to entering a dog, and/or a pup, into a "Conformation Class", it will be up to the Show Sponsor to provide a "Breed Standard" to the participant, prior to his paying the "Entry Fee", indicating the "disqualifications" that would prevent the owner’s dog, and/or pup, from being shown in a "Conformation Class". However, should the Show Sponsor fail to tell the participant what the "disqualifications" are, that would prevent his/her dog, and/or pup, from entering the Show Ring, it then will be up to the "Conformation Show Judge" to tell the participant that his/her dog, and/or pup, cannot be shown for the following reasons: "Full Black Mask", "Cow-Hocked", "Even or Scissor Bite", "Docked Tail", "Testicles that are retained in the abdominal cavity", "Neutered", "Spayed", "Long &/or feathered coats", "Blind", "Deaf", "Vicious", "Shy", and "Glass Eye or Eyes". Therefore, then it will be up to the "Conformation Show Judge" to write on the dog’s, and/or pup’s, "Score Sheet" – "DQ [disqualified]", and why.

The ARF Judge will not knowingly, intentionally, or voluntarily Judge any of the following …

a.) Dogs from his own kennel.

b.) Dogs sold from his kennel.

c.) Dogs from another kennel, in which he has a financial interest.

d.) Dogs owned by other Judges.

e.) Dogs that have been purchased from other Show Judges.

f.) Dogs owned by the Show Sponsor/Organizer.

g.) Dogs that have been purchased from the Show Sponsor/Organizer.

An ARF Judge will not accept any form of payment, and/or trade, or any other form of prearranged deals, to judge a certain owner’s dog(s), for the owner’s benefit.

ARF Judges will not accept any form of payment, and/or trade, or any other form of prearranged deals, to judge a certain Show Sponsor/Organizer’s dog(s), for the Show Sponsor/Organizer’s benefit.

An ARF Judge will not in any way collaborate with another Show Judge, either before or after the Show, or while the Dog Show is in progress.

An ARF Judge will not have any personal contact with the participants, either directly, or indirectly, before, during, or after the Show.

Each ARF Show Judge consents to be bound to all ARF Show Rules, which he/she must read before the Show.

An ARF Show Judge consents to be bound to the ARF Breed Standard, which ARF furnishes each Judge.

Each ARF Show Judge will deposit each of his "Score Sheets" with the "Show Ring Manager", for "Show Points" verification.

Once the "Score Sheet" is deposited with the "Show Ring Manager", the ARF Show Judge’s decision is final; no alterations of the "Score Sheet" will be allowed.

[Note: It is the responsibility of the "Show Ring Manager", to "CERTIFY" all of the ARF Show Judges’ "Score Sheets", and mark them as being "Approved" or "Unapproved", and seal them all together in a large envelope, later to be turned over to the ARF. If any "Score Sheets" are found to be altered, and/or tampered with, in any way, that dog will be disqualified.]

Therefore, if any of the foregoing ARF Code of Ethics are violated, ARF reserves the right to do any, or all, of the following:

Disqualify the dog(s), and/or

Disqualify the ARF Judge(s), and/or

Disqualify the ARF Participant(s), and/or

Disqualify the ARF-Sanctioned Show Sponsor/Organizer, and/or

Disqualify the entire ARF-Sanctioned Show.

Note: Prior to an ARF-Sanctioned Show, it is imperative that each ARF-Sanctioned Show Judge acquaints himself/herself with our ARF Code of Ethics, and our ARF Breed Standard, for the breed he/she is about to judge. EACH JUDGE MUST HAVE IN HIS/HER POSSESSION A COPY OF THE ARF CODE OF ETHICS, AND THE ARF BREED STANDARD.
