  2. Provide a brief history on the breed’s name [How was the name determined?].
     
  3. List the names of those who are responsible for breed development or those who have been responsible for the preservation of the breed.
     
  4. Outline the purpose(s) of the breed [e.g., Work, Protection, etc.].
     
  5. Give a general appearance of what the animal should look like.
